This collection of photographs illustrates the view of researchers working on plastic pollution of the marine environment in the Bay of Brest and its watershed. Taking both a scientific and artistic approach, the exhibition seeks to raise awareness about the challenges of sustainable oceans and to support actions that encourage a more frugal use of plastics and responsible consumption.

The new XperienSEA animation allows you to discover the incredible biodiversity of plankton in a completely new way.
Created by Océanopolis, this exceptional event will run from 10 July to 29 August in the Océanopolis auditorium. On the big screen, offering total immersion in 3D, animal and plant planktonic organisms will follow one another according to the rhythm of the story told by a scientific expert.
Under great threat due to pollution, climate change and the acidification of our oceans, these animals and plants now play an essential role!

Minilab
MINILAB DISCOVERIES
Discover 3 activities throughout the summer in the heart of the Brittany pavilion:
- In a drop of seawater: immerse yourself in a drop of seawater using a microscope, binocular magnifying glasses and 3D printed models!
- The treasures of the foreshore: at high tide, the sea deposits a cordon of algae mixed with unusual objects on our beaches: this is the foreshore. What is its role? Where does the debris come from? A scientific expert will answer these questions.
- Seaside cousins: Did you know that a blenny is more closely related to a seal than a shark? That the starfish and the sea urchin belong to the same zoological group? A scientific expert will shed light on the family ties that may exist between groups of vastly different appearance.

NEW: DIVE INTO THE DEEP OCEAN
LIVE FROM UNDER THE SEA
In August, you can discover a new and exceptional opportunity, diving into the deep ocean!
You will have an appointment with scientists from Ifremer’s ChEReef scientific project to watch, exclusively and live, exceptional dives into the heart of the canyons in the Bay of Biscay in search of cold-water coral.
Accompanied by a scientific expert, you will dive with the HROV Ariane, an exploration robot in France’s Oceanographic Fleet and will be able to pose questions to the on-board research team.
