⚠ To know before your visit

The Southern Pavilion (formerly the Polar Pavilion) is closed as part of “Métamorphose”, a renovation and expansion project at Océanopolis designed to offer you an even more immersive and sensory visitor experience. The new Southern Pavilion is scheduled to open in early 2027.

The new Tropical Pavilion, the Brittany Pavilion, the Otter Trail, the Cité des Océanautes, and Océanolab remain open, featuring a rich program of activities.

 

ON-SITE CATERING

Take a relaxing break during your visit for lunch, an afternoon treat, or a quick snack. From hot meals and snacks to desserts and pastries, enjoy a delicious selection of fresh, high-quality products.

Good to know: Leaving the premises is final. We therefore recommend planning your meal arrangements in advance.

For a quieter experience, try to take your lunch break before 12:00 PM or after 2:00 PM.

 

  • Le Rest’O

Treat yourself to a self-service break featuring homemade dishes made with fresh, local ingredients. Enjoy the on-site dining area and a terrace with an exceptional view of the Bay of Brest! Le Rest’O is open daily from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM until August 31 (lunch served from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM).

Good to know: Le Rest’O is a member of the “Ocean Friendly Restaurant” initiative.

  • O’Comptoir

Your takeaway option for a quick bite: sandwiches, salads, snacks, desserts, and drinks. O’Comptoir is open daily from July 6 to August 21, from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM.

  • Picnic areas

Covered picnic areas are available for your use.

  • Water points

Sinks in the restrooms; water fountains located at Rest’O and in the Océanopolis gardens near the playground.

Discover our new shop and our ocean-inspired gift ideas!
The sea comes in a thousand forms for the whole family, with our selection of eco-friendly items and local products: books, plush toys, clothing, home décor, gourmet foods, jewelry, cosmetics, and more. And to keep the journey going, choose from the many titles available in our book section.

Open during Océanopolis operating hours—including Sundays—with free access and an entrance from outside. The shop is located at the site exit.

 

PARKING

Car access to the Océanopolis car park is via Rue des Sternes.

Access for motorhomes and vehicles with roof boxes is via Rue des Cormorans.

We provide 1,800 free parking spaces, including:

  • 24 coach spaces
    28 accessible spaces
    25 motorhome spaces

The car park is neither monitored nor guarded.

Electric vehicle charging stations and bicycle parking are also available.

 

PUSHCHAIR HIRE

At reception, by the park’s entrance, you can hire a pushchair for the day, using an ID document as a deposit. The number of pushchairs is limited and they cannot be booked in advance. Contact the park team on arrival.

 

WHEELCHAIR HIRE

The entire park is wheelchair friendly. At reception, by the park’s entrance, you can borrow a wheelchair for the day, using an ID document as a deposit.

Loan of cane seats

You can borrow a foldable cane seat for the day from the reception desk at the park entrance by leaving an ID card as a deposit. Supplies are limited, and these items cannot be reserved in advance. Please feel free to speak to the park staff during your visit.

MENSTRUAL PRODUCT DISPENSERS

In partnership with the Finistère-based company Marguerite & Cie, we provide free, eco-friendly menstrual product dispensers in the site’s restrooms.

PLAY AREA

A playground is available for children at the entrance to the park.

 

Free audio guides

We provide online audio guides so you can explore the Brittany Pavilion and the Otter Trail at your own pace. Available in French, English, German, and Breton.
No app download required: all you need is an internet connection, your smartphone, and your headphones (please remember to bring them; we do not provide them).

 

Good to know:

  • Wi-Fi is available throughout the tour route and in the gardens.
  • Free smartphone charging stations are available at Rest’O.

PREPARE FOR YOUR VISIT

Allow sufficient time for your visit: 3 hours or half a day, or even a whole day in order to take advantage of all of our ocean discovery park: 3 pavilions with a large aquarium in which sharks live, otter trail etc.
