Coronavirus information: reopening

Published on 26/06/2020. Last updated on 31/07/2020.

Océanopolis reopened on June 20, 2020 with a tour that has been redesigned for your safety and comfort. Everything is in accordance with all the health rules in force as part of the Covid-19 prevention programme.

After being closed for three months, Océanopolis is finally able to welcome the public again. All of our teams have worked together to re-open the site in the best possible conditions and to offer you maximum comfort while respecting health safety measures and social distancing.

Mandatory online ticketing

The ticket office at the entrance to Océanopolis is closed. You must book your ticket online. You must choose a date for your visit and a time slot for entry to the park. The price has been reduced for online tickets. The number of visitors is limited, so it is imperative that you book in advance to ensure you can enjoy our ocean discovery park.

YOUR SAFETY

For your safety, we have greatly reduced the number of authorised visitors to the park. This is to guarantee social distancing and to manage the flow of people between the different spaces accessible to the public. Signs around the park will guide and help you throughout your visit to ensure that it goes smoothly.

Wearing a mask is compulsory for adults and children over 11 years old. If you do not have your own mask, you can find them at the park entrance.

Sanitising gel is available at many locations around Océanopolis and the site is regularly disinfected. We ask you to wash your hands regularly, using the gel dispensers or soap available in the bathroom facilities.

Whenever possible, you should avoid touching the panes of glass on the aquariums around the site as much as possible.

Finally, at the shop and restaurant checkouts, only one person per family or group is allowed in the queue.

OUR SERVICES

The on-site boutique has been open since June 20, but the bookstore remains closed. However, you will find many books for sale in the boutique. Everything is in place to ensure that visitor traffic flows freely and that everyone can leave safely with their souvenirs. The number of visitors in the boutique is being limited, plexiglass panels have been installed at the tills and the fitting rooms are closed.

Océanopolis restaurant is now open. You will also find take-away food available on site. We recommend that you book your packed lunch in advance online while ordering your entrance tickets. You can book packed lunches up to the day before your visit. Packed lunches can be picked up at the events pavilion between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. You can enjoy the picnic area to eat your lunch. The picnic area has been adapted to respect social distancing and ensure your safety.

In the boutique and for food, we ask you to pay by bank card, preferably contactless.

EVENTS

To avoid crowds and other gatherings of people, until further notice we will not be organising feeding with commentaries, specialist presentations, mini-lab events, backstage tours or the opportunity to be a keeper for the day.

However, summer entertainment is planned in the Océanopolis auditorium, starting on July 13, 2020. More information will soon be available on our website and social networks, so stay connected!

OCEANOPOLIS STAFF

Always with your safety in mind, Océanopolis is committed to protecting all its staff with masks, visors and plexiglass panels. Staff have also been trained in preventative measures.
