4 tips for a successful visit of Océanopolis this summer

This summer in Océanopolis, you can enjoy moments of conviviality and relaxation by having lunch on the terrace at Rest’O or in the gardens. You will also appreciate the freshness of our tour circuit and will attend numerous exciting activities accompanied by our scientific mediators.

The summer season being a very touristy period in Brittany, we will experience, like all stakeholders in Breton tourism, an increase in our attendance.

To allow you to benefit from a complete and comfortable visit to the site, we therefore recommend that you follow these 4 tips.

1 – BUY YOUR TICKETS ONLINE

Prepare your visit now and avoid queues by purchasing your ticket online. Only online reservation guarantees you access to Océanopolis. In addition, from July 6 to August 25, you benefit from a €2 reduction per ticket if you book at least 3 days in advance.

It is not necessary to arrive in advance, please respect the time slot chosen when making your reservation.

Finally, prefer morning visit slots, the site traffic is lower.

2 – visit on good weather or no rain days

To visit Océanopolis in the best conditions, we strongly recommend that you choose days with good weather or without rain.

In addition, our picnic and relaxation areas set up facing the sea allow you to pleasantly enjoy the gardens. Our pavilions offer you a welcome freshness in the heart of summer.

Furthermore, you can extend your day by walking around Océanopolis, on the Moulin Blanc promenade near the beach. Take the opportunity to discover the scientific and fun walk: Plankton

3 – anticipate your restoration option

Any exit from the park is final, so we recommend that you anticipate your lunch break. Several options are available to you:

  • The Rest’O

With its semi-covered terrace and its breathtaking view of the harbor of Brest, our restaurant offers you a menu of hot dishes or salads, homemade, based on local products, desserts, drinks, and children’s menus. Prefer to take your lunch break before 12 p.m. or after 2 p.m. for less crowds.

This summer the Rest’O is open every day from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

  • Atoll
You can also opt for a takeaway catering offer in Atoll.
  • Picnic areas

We provide you with relaxation areas in the heart of the Océanopolis gardens to allow you to enjoy your picnic outdoors.

4 – Consider different modes of transportation

Océanopolis is accessible via many means of transport. Choose the one that suits you best :

  • By carpooling via the Ouestgo.fr platform
  • By bus thanks to the Bibus Blue Line which drops you off directly at the gates of Océanopolis
  • By transshipment boat “Brestoa” of the Compagnie Maritime de l’Ouest
  • By train with the TER BreizhGo and taking advantage of the €3 discount on the Océanopolis entrance ticket upon presentation of the BreizhGo pass
  • By car or campervan, parking in the free Océanopolis car parks
  • By bike via the metropolis’ cycle paths (bike parking spaces are available in front of the entrance and before the Océanopolis reception desks)
  • On foot, via the GR 34 hiking trail which passes near Océanopolis
