CORONAVIRUS: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

CORONAVIRUS: FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

As you will know, because of the health crisis in France, Océanopolis was not able to welcome visitors after March 14, 2020. Below you will find the answers to all your questions regarding tickets and season tickets. If you still have questions, don’t hesitate to send an email to the following address: oceanopolis@oceanopolis.com.

SEASON TICKETS

I have a season ticket so can I come and visit like normal?

Your season ticket is still valid but you must reserve your time slot for entry to the park through our online ticket office. This is to regulate visitor flows and to ensure maximum security and comfort during visits.

What happens if I have a current season ticket?

If you have a season ticket, it will automatically be extended by 100 days from Océanopolis’s reopening in June. You don’t have to do anything.

What happens if my subscription ended during the confinement period?

If your season ticket expired during the exceptional closure due to Covid-19, it will automatically be extended by 100 days from Océanopolis’s reopening in June. You don’t have to do anything.

TICKETING

I have a ticket (or tickets) purchased before the lockdown, can I use it even if it is not time-stamped?

If you have a ticket bought before the lockdown through our online ticket office, your company or one of our usual points of sale, you must reserve your time slot for entry to the park via our online ticket office. You will be asked for your ticket at the park entrance. Without the ticket you will not be able to enter Océanopolis.

How long before my visit should I buy my ticket online?

If there are still places available you can book your ticket at the last moment, but be aware that the number of visitors entering the park per hour is being limited. It is therefore preferable to buy tickets well in advance.

Can I get my open ticket reimbursed?

If you bought an open ticket (undated) to come and visit Océanopolis during the lockdown and you cannot come before your ticket’s expiry date, send us a refund request with the details of your ticket(s) to the following address: billetterie@oceanopolis.com

NB: refunds can only be processed after Océanopolis’s reopening.

Can I modify my open ticket?

If you have bought an open ticket (undated), it is valid until January 3, 2021.

Can I modify or get a refund for a dated ticket?

If you have a ticket dated between March 14, 2020 and April 30, 2020, you can come and visit Océanopolis with this ticket before January 3, 2021 (to be handed in at the cash desk on the day of your visit) or get a refund by sending an email to the following address: billetterie@oceanopolis.com

NB: refunds can only be processed after Océanopolis’s reopening.

Can I buy my ticket on site?

It is no longer possible to buy a ticket at the box office at the entrance to Océanopolis as these tills have been closed. It is mandatory to reserve your ticket(s) online. Tickets are time stamped so the flow of visitors can be managed throughout the day and we can ensure your safety and maximum visiting comfort. The number of visitors per hour is being limited. The price of online adult tickets has been reduced to € 19.80.

Do I have to print my ticket ?

Printing is not necessary. You can have your tickets on your Smartphone.

What is the hour on my ticket ?

The hour that you choose on our online ticket office is the hour you can arrive at Océanopolis. Then, you have all the time you want to visit.

HEALTH MEASURES

Is it compulsory to wear a mask in the park?

Wearing a mask is compulsory for adults and children over 11 years old. If you don’t have your own masks, you can buy them at the entrance to Océanopolis.

How can we ensure social distancing between visitors?

Introducing a fixed visitor capacity means the number of people on the site has been greatly reduced. You will have room to move around while staying 1m from other visitors. We have created a one-way system in the park and pavilions to avoid as far as possible the criss-crossing of visitors. Finally, we call on your common sense and respect for everyone else in applying these preventative measures.

Is sanitising gel available?

Sanitising gel is available at many locations around the park.

Is the park regularly disinfected?

The park cleaning plan has been strengthened and all visitor areas are disinfected regularly during the day.

Are the touch screens still accessible?

The touch screens are available. In order to use them, styluses are being distributed at the park’s entrance. However, we ask that all visitors use sanitising gel before and after their use. The screens are disinfected regularly. Finally, we suggest you download our free interactive tour application – My Océanopolis – on your smartphone. The app provides loads of information in order to optimise and enhance your visit.

The restaurants with table facilities and the self-service restaurant have been closed in order to develop take-away sales.
